This genuine human skull is 100% authentic and was hand-carved in America by……… “Doctor Skeleton”
“ARMAGEDDON”
“The Epic Battle Between Good and Evil…Before The Final Day of Judgement”.
About The Sculpture
This beautiful specimen of artwork was Made In America. The skull has traditional tribal designs carved on the top and the sides of the skull. Most human skulls are approximately 1/4″ inch thick and this skull was hand-carved very carefully with the utmost care.
The tribal designs are carved deeply into the surface (approximately 1/8″ – 3/16″ of an inch) which is far deeper than skulls you may find that were carved in the jungles.
These tribal designs were drawn on the skull freehand and then were hand-carved by Dr. Skeleton. The total hours spent carving this skull was approximately 150-160. There were numerous hours of planning that went into the development of this project and those hours accumulated well into the hundreds. This skull has become the most controversial hand-carved skulls in the world.
The tribal designs are hand-carved to near perfection. The tribal designs are extremely straight, symmetrical, and sharp. The tribal designs in this skull are carved with such balance and symmetry, That it seems to be as natural as the deceased human who became this sculpture. When carving the skull, and planning the initial layout, the skull just began to take on a shape, character, and identity of its own.
Typically human skulls that are carved in the jungle tend to have elaborate designs that are carved very shallow into the skull itself. This is referred to as “technique”. Depending on the artist, the techniques will vary dramatically based on experience, rituals, or traditions. The designs will vary depending on the “style” or traditional designs seen in that area of the world. The depth of the carvings is determined by the designs that the artist has envisioned.
The carving and sculpting of human bones span back many centuries. However, this skull is a true one of a kind. This skull was sculpted in The United States Of America, by an American Artist. Additionally, this skull is perhaps one of the rarest works of art ever created in America. There has never been a sculpture such as this ever created in America, or anywhere else in the world. This oddity is a “pioneer” of human ethics and will never be duplicated.
More About Tribal Art
What separates this skull from every other skull that was carved in history, is the simple fact of the message that was carved into the skull itself. The tribal designs are completely different than any other skull in existence, and the roman numerals and capital letters are direct contradictions to the “norm”. In the “jungle” such as Tibet, many travelers will acquire their carved skulls and bring them back to other countries to sell globally.
When there are “tribes”, there are rituals and traditions that dictate the outcome of the artwork. Meaning, hundreds or thousands of skulls will appear nearly the same with some variations due to the individual artist. Nevertheless, the same traditions and rituals keep the artwork from that region “similar”.
These similarities are their “signatures” of their tribe to indicate the origin of the artwork.
This skull was hand carved with tribal designs that are typically found here in the United States of America. These designs are very similar to the tribal designs you would see in the world of tattooing and/or on people who have tribal designs embedded in their skin with bones and/or teeth. The designs you see here on the sculpture are more Americanized versions of tribal art that are not seen in other parts of the world.
Doctor Skeleton’s Collection
“The sculpture is intended to explore the many facets of human ethics, dignity, and a certain human mortality…life and death”.
Love, care, honor, and respect went into every aspect of this deceased human life. Dr. Skeleton considers these sculptures as humans that are deceased, not human bones. These deceased people are loved the same today as if they were alive and well by Dr. Skeleton. That is why the term “adoption” is far more appropriate for financially obtaining this American work of art.
This skull is the third skull ( No.3 ) in the series of “( 13 1/2 )” skulls total. Every skull that becomes a work of art, a “Sculpture”, will not be similar to any other skull that Dr. Skeleton produces for his other clientele. Every skull will be a true one-of-a-kind and will not be duplicated in any way.
Only 13 skulls will be sold for “adoption” worldwide, none of which will resemble the other. The “1/2” skull has already been released and was sold for “adoption” nearly 5 years ago.
In the very top of the skull is a nickel-plated .38 Special Ammunition shell casing. The casing is empty, meaning the round was fired before it was inserted into the skull. You can see where the head of the casing has the firing pin “dent”.
The shell casing was obtained from an officer of the law to give the piece an overall sense of authenticity and provocate an interest as to why the nickel-plated .38 Special casing has such a significant meaning.
The skull does have a few alterations to the natural state of actual authenticity. Typically the skull will be found in more than one piece. The “jaw” and teeth are usually distorted, lost, or damaged, and are almost always found separated and/or in pieces. This skull was constructed back to its original form with the use of industrial adhesives.
Human Skulls & Bones
This human skull is ranked with superior medical quality and is simply beautiful in every way. Medical quality skulls are commonly used for demonstrations and educational purposes. This skull is no exception. The skull is a natural white, (which is very rare), clean, smooth, and has very few minor defects. The skull is unbelievable and amazing and is truly one of a kind.
Additionally, what makes this skull a medical quality specimen is the density of the bone itself. Typically there will be a lot of decay on human bones that are 100 years old. Human skeletons stored and articulated that are kept for an entire century are very difficult to obtain. The density of this skull is very unusual in the sense that the bone marrow is “extremely” dense, and the weight of the specimen is much heavier than a typical human skull.
The historical value of these sculptures are “second to none”. This artwork is not seen anywhere else in the world, and they are extremely rare. To find such a perfect deceased human with such bone density and the natural white bone color is like finding a needle in a haystack.
These are not just human bones that “Dr. Skeleton” has acquired…These deceased humans are now becoming a part of world history.
The entire human skeleton this head was removed from has a very unusual bone density throughout his entire deceased body. The bones were all very naturally white and had a significant difference in weight as opposed to the other human skeletons that were used for many of the artistic creations in Dr. Skeleton’s Closet.
Usually, the bones will be medium to light in weight due to the obvious lack of human liquids and oils in the bone. This individual’s everyday diet had to be very different than other people, and likely is a hereditary trait that has been traditional throughout their entire family. These bones are simply unusual and special in every way.
After many years of decomposition, (even in storage), the bones will lose density and become lighter in weight. Almost always the bones will discolor severely over a span of 100 years regardless of how well the bones were preserved. The human bones become lighter and decay as they decompose naturally. Most bones that are “centurions” are much lighter and have decomposed and become fragile.
The skull is naturally a thick skull, (likely a male), compared to many, and has a beautiful density that has been very well preserved. This particular preservation has left this human skull “immaculate” with a superior bone density for its age of approximately 100 years. This human skull that has become an artistic form of beauty is truly one of a kind in every single way.
The natural white of the bone really is unique in the sense of how dramatically white the skull has remained after serving nearly 100 years of storage and complicated environments. This human skeleton was preserved with the utmost care and was very well kept. However, with any human being, there will be a few inconsistencies and defects that definitely add to the nature and character of the artwork.
Each side of the skull has a few minor fractures, mostly due to natural separations and or some form of head traumas, that may or may not have led to the death of this human life. The cause of death is uncertain…
However, what we do know is the skull has definite fractures and the skull has a .38 cal Special shell casing inserted into the top of his cranium that was obviously placed for open interpretations of the overall message of the sculpture.
These separations simply add character to the skull and to the message that the artwork seems to convey. Even minor damage has a form of beauty, the same as every human life has some type of damage that produces a form of beauty out of an experience, such as hardship, trauma, or injury. The damages and dangers of life itself are something every human can relate to.
There were some inconsistencies with the teeth of this human skull. As for most deceased humans, the teeth are typically lost, fractured, or misplaced. Some remain intact in the skull for durations of time, however, typically if the skulls do have teeth, they are usually in very poor condition and/or missing several. This skull does in fact have several of the natural original teeth.
There are a few teeth that were fabricated to give the skull a better “sense of balance”. The skull had seemed to have lost its natural proportions due to the loss of just a few teeth. “The Artist” did in fact fabricate a few teeth using sculpting clays and adhesives. The fabricated teeth are so naturally created they are very hard to identify at first glance. The natural teeth are obvious.
Almost every skull will have no cartilage left in the area of where the nose used to be, especially after 100 years. Almost every skull has a large opening where the cartilage once had life, this leaves the skull looking unbalanced when the skull becomes a creation of art.
To add to the sense of beauty and balance of the sculpture, some of the nose cartilage was fabricated and reconstructed using sculpting clay and industrial adhesives. The clay was carefully placed and sculpted into the skull for a very realistic simulation of the skull in its natural state before decomposition.
Sculpture Observations
The skull was formed together into one singular object by using a variety of industrial adhesives and sculpting clay. The adhesives can be seen from the underside of the skull and should not be removed. The additional adhesives add durability, character, and strength to the skull that has become a created form of artwork.
The adhesives add a certain sense of “disgustingness” that the artwork truly needs to convey the severity of the subject and message.
On the forehead of this individual’s skull, you will find an “X” was carved into the center of his head…
On the back of the skull, you will find the roman numerals for the number “21” hand-carved into roman figures as “XXI”…
Take notice of the elegant and beautiful spider webbing that is carved on each side of his skull….
And last but not least…The words “Remember Me” are hand-carved into an arching bridge in capital letters onto the center of the back of his skull…
Human Ethics And My Artwork
There is a sense of obligation to the human rights and ethics of this deceased human being whose life was given to create this form of artwork. The deceased human being, “The Skull”, is in fact the skull of a human life who was once alive and well and should still be given that same respect and dignity.
When a deceased human life becomes a work of art, the artwork, these deceased humans, have been re-created with love, dignity, honor, and respect. Dr. Skeleton creates his work with a love and passion for human life, and truly believes that honor and respect are a personal duty for “re-presenting” this human life.
